Complete Medical Assessment

Complete Medical Assessment

A complete medical assessment begins with a thorough physical examination whereby your pet’s eyes, ears, skin, cardiovascular, neurological, gastrointestinal and skeletal systems are examined for any abnormalities. Blood tests can be performed as necessary to assess the proper functioning of your pet’s kidneys, liver, pancreas, and endocrine system including the thyroid gland and adrenal glands. Urine tests can detect a variety of problems. Depending on your pet’s condition, we may recommend further diagnostic tests such as radiography (X-rays), ultrasound (provided at our facility by our good friend Dr. Street, an independent consulting veterinarian) or surgery.

We care about making sure that you and your companion are in the very best hands for your individual circumstances. Therefore, in some cases, our veterinarians may provide a referral to the University of Illinois or other specialized practice for further evaluation and treatment of your pet.
